Thirteen years ago, I had a traumatic brain injury and subsequently developed dystonia. I was rushing, as usual, and then one quick slip and down I went. I hit my head and neck on concrete. Lying on black ice in front of my house, unable to get up, I had no idea just how much my life was about to change.I was too busy for this accident.
I now understand what a gift that accident was. I always say that God was teaching me patience. I learned to listen to my body with deep respect. What I can’t do today, I’ll do tomorrow…or maybe the next day!
