I recently went to a nutritionist. She had me journal for three days, interviewed me and reviewed what I ate. She then made suggestions. Not enough protein…check, not enough meal planning…check, poor body image…check, not enough color…what?
She said, “ You are an artist, so chose your protein and then add three colors.” Since I tend to feed my feelings, rather then my hunger, this raised the possibility of me actually being aware of the food I eat. I started eating on a colorful placement and searching for fruits and vegetables with vibrant colors. This has added fun to shopping and my entire dining experience. Menu planning has taken on a new meaning. I am having fun with my new palette. Bon Appetit!
