This is the ketubah created for my son Andrew’s wedding. He and his wife Molly participated in the creation of this special ketubah which included their beloved pup Lialah!
In this ketubah, the “whimsical” meets the “traditional.” This piece was created with a modern Hebrew and English text. The writings within the painting itself, contain memories, wishes and loving messages for the bride and groom.

The process of creating your custom ketubah:
The calligraphy and layout:
~ Working directly with the calligrapher, you may select the Hebrew and English text, calligraphy, shape and wording on your custom ketubah.
~ You will have a choice of Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Interfaith, and Commitment Ketubot.
~The ketubah text is printed with archival, pigmented black ink that will resist fading for decades.
~ Sizes are as follows: 18″ x 24,” 24″ x 18,” and 24″ x 24;” rectangle, circle and square, shapes.
~ You will receive a final proof of your custom ketubah before the calligraphy is completed. Once you have approved any changes, the calligraphy will be done. It will be paid independently to the calligrapher and then it will be shipped to me where the next phase of creation begins.

Jessica and Theodore commissioned this piece to celebrate their marriage. They expressed a desire to acknowledge their Asian and Jewish families uniting. Jessica’s grandfather added some Japanese characters to make this piece unique. It took a year and a half to plan and create this one of a kind ketubah.
This commitment document was created as a compliment for a young couple’s ketubah. It reflects the personal sentiments they wrote for each other. “Two Hearts ~One Love” was designed to celebrate their unique relationship and devotion to one another.
